Hairstyle of the Day

Since exams have started I literally have not left the house unless I go to the library or grab something to eat and take home, which is why I've been lacking personal hairstyle posts and personal outfits as well, I don't really think anyone wants to see my messy hair sweat pants and big hoodie! As soon as exams are done though, I'll be off to Dubai on Vacation which I'm so excited for I really need a break! And I'll be able to do a lot more personal posts there as I'll have a lot more time to do so:) Today's hairstyle I just pulled back my bangs and poofed them a bit, and the rest of my hair I pulled back into a little bun and tied it with a bow hair tie.

Curly Hair Tips

I recently got a question from a reader asking for Curly hairstyle tips. I know quite a bit about curly hair since my younger and older sister both have curly hair. The first step to any curly hair is to style it properly. My elder sister uses the "TRESemme" Extra hold mousse in order to style it properly. Above is a picture of my gorgeous sister.
Steps on how to get it styled are:
1. Getting the hair really wet (done after taking a bath usually)
2. Applying the TRESemme mousse gradually all over the hair
3. Wait a while for it to dry up and...
VOILA (Above) is the end result.
(Tresemme - Extra hold mousse)
I hear from a lot girls that have curly hair that they don't have as many options with their hair as girls with straighter hair, which I believe is completely wrong. There are tons of stuff you can do with curly hair. Like:
1. Across the head braid (Just braid it across after you apply the mousse so it dries up nice)
2. Put a hand band
3. French Braids
4. Half up
5. Pony tail

Hairstyle of the Day: Messy Bun

A little while ago I did a post on a casual favourite style for the hair, The messy bun. I've been a little crazed the past few days with showing my cousins around the city and studying for finals, I haven't really had the time to do my hair. So the I felt the messy bun was a cute and easy hairstyle to wear.

Headbands

Headbands became really popular after the famous 'Blair Waldorf' made them a fashion statement on Gossip Girl. I've always been a headband girl. The reason why I avoid wearing them sometimes is because they make me look much younger.. I know right who doesn't want to look younger? But I've always had this thing because any random person I meet says I don't look like a 20 year old but maybe 14 or 15.. and looking younger I have this imaginary thought that it means people won't take me seriously.. I over analyze as you can tell. Well anyways, even though I don't exactly wear all of them, not out anyways, I somehow seem to have a pretty big collection of them. A few people have asked me to make a post on headbands and where to find them. These are some headbands that I really liked! A lot of places you can find good headbands are H&M, Urban Outfitters, Forever 21..

Hairstyle of the Day

Another simple hairstyle I like to do, the messy side bun, especially if what i'm wearing has a lot of detail and already makes a statement, doing something really simple with your hair would be the best way to go :) x

Hairstyle of the Day

Hairstyle: Messy Bun

One of my favourite styles is the messy bun. With my hair being short right now I can't really pull this style off, but for girls with longer hair it's a great style to do for a school day, running errands and if you play it right even a night out. When my hair was longer I would tie my hair in a messy bun when I was too busy to spend time blow drying or straightening my hair. Above are a few different messy buns, as you can tell a lot of celebrities have also been sporting the messy bun look out and about and even on red carpets. If you're having a bad hair day the messy bun is a great and easy way to style your hair without having to do so much to it!

Hairstyle of the Day

As you may have noticed, I'm really obsessed with hairstyles, complicated or basic. For University I decided to do the "Across the head" plait one of my favourite hairstyles that I think is cute and easy to do =)

Hairstyles: Different Era's

Hairstyles from differen't era's have always facinated me. Every decade had it's own special factor with the hair. Whether it be big and poofy, to layered waves, to an extreme mullet of the 1980s, the great thing we share about the beginning of our era is the combination of every decade combined. My all-time favourite hairstyle would have to be the 1950s Marilyn Monroe one: Classy & Chic

What was your favourite Hairstyle Era?
